Our client: Since 2009 our client has been diligent to leverage best practice and leading technology to be the best possible partner service to assist on projects in a timely manner and on budget. They are seeking a General Maintenance Worker/Groundskeeper who shares the same values.

Are you interested in:
  • Perform repair or general Maintenance work of facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment at various sites including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, glazier, and painting tasks.
  • Repair and treating structures such as showers, floors, sinks, walls, carpets and roofs.
  • Perform minor repairs, troubleshooting, and adjustment of locks on
  • cabinets, locks, closets, desks.
  • Repair door hinges, cleaning plugged key slots, changing filters on ventilating, heating, and air conditioning units.
  • Move and assist in transportation of furniture and equipment which may require use of heavy-duty equipment.
  • Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Paint and repair roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
  • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and
  • reassemble equipment.
  • Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
  • Performs other work as required in support of general maintenance activity.
  • Work closely with others on the team to help develop new skills and knowledge
  • Participate in maintenance planning meetings
  • Comply with and implement Safety and Health regulations in the workplace
You ideally possess:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
  • Certification in Building trades and/or demonstrated proof of years in the trade.
  • Knowledgeable of codes and standards associated with maintenance, repairs, and safety.
